Chairman of the NGO State Support Council under the President of Azerbaijan, MP Azay Guliyev met with the Charge D`affaires of the delegation of the European Commission to Azerbaijan Jean-Louis Lavroff, head of the socio-political department Jerome Pons and project manager Maryam Hajismayilov.
Discussions revolved around the effectiveness of projects implemented by NGOs, financial and information transparency and other issues.
Azay Guliyev updated EC representatives about the Council`s project financing principles. The working group comprising representatives of both sides was set up. They stressed that the group convenes once a month to discuss development of NGO sector and prepare real proposals to expand cooperation between the European Commission and NGO State Support Council.
