Azerbaijani Cultural Weekend coming up in London

Some of Azerbaijan's top musicians and singers will perform this weekend at the Cadogan Hall in central London.

The concerts are part of a cultural weekend organized by the European Azerbaijan Society.

On 21 November a gala concert will feature the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble to be followed after the break by Bakustic Jazz, made up of Salman Gambarov on piano, Rain Sultanov on saxophone, Ruslan Huseynov on bass, Vagif Aliyev on drums and Mirjavad Jafarov on oud.

On 22 November the Orion Symphony Orchestra will perform with some of Azerbaijan's best traditional musicians and singers, conducted by Yalchin Adigezalov.

Both concerts will begin at 6.30 pm. Doors open at 4.00 and visitors can view a photo exhibition and sample Azerbaijani food and drink free of charge. Musical accompaniment will be provided by a traditional mugham trio.
