Summer camp for diabetes children ends in Azerbaijan

The summer psycho-sociological rehabilitation school for diabetes children organized in Ganja under support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has ended.

The 15-day summer camp involved 30 children suffering from diabetes, including children without parental care and children from the families of refugees.

The main aim of the summer school is upbringing of young leaders who are able to provide first medical and psychological aid to the patients like them.

According to school organizer Elmira Mirzoyeva, the program that started on August 23 along with the interesting rest also ensured psychosociological rehabilization of children. For this purpose 3 endocrinologists and 4 teachers held continuous trainings for teenagers by using private recommendations and psychotherapeutic methods ensuring due skills.

During the rest the children also familiarized with the historical monuments in Shamkir and Dashkesan. During English language courses, the children wrote essays on different issues, tried themselves in contests, intellectual games and sport contests.
