Red Cross Office in Baku calls on Armenia to return body of martyred officer

Baku Office of International Committee of Red Cross called on Armenia to return the body of Azerbaijani officer who became martyr in the battlefield.

Spokeswoman for the ICRC Office Ilaha Huseynova said family of the martyred officer asked the ICRC Office in Baku to help them to get back his body and after that the ICRC Office addressed its counterpart in Armenia.

Armenian armed forces unexpectedly took the offensive against the Azerbaijani Army near Chilaburt village of the Azerbaijan’s Terter region on September 4 intensifying tensions in the contact line. Officer of the Azerbaijani Army Farid Gulaga Ahmadov, 24 was killed during the shooting. Azerbaijani soldiers couldn’t take his body away from the battlefield.

Another officer of the Azerbaijani Army Ahmad Abdullayev, 34 was wounded and he died at the hospital. He was buried in his hometown in Jalilabad region of Azerbaijan.
