Azerbaijani party not to concede to opposition bloc

Tue 07 September 2010 | 10:19 GMT

Azerbaijan’s National Independence Party not to concede to Popular Front Party in defining candidates on constituencies.

Secretary on Press and Propaganda of the Party of National Independence of Azerbaijan Ali Orujlu links the rejection of his party to make concessions to other opposition parties with the unpreparedness of the opposite side for such concessions.

'The National Independence Party has always made concessions to some parties at the upcoming elections in the country. But the fact that these concessions were not mutual is frustrating and therefore we are not going to make concessions to any party. The National Independence Party Party will make concessions only in the case these concessions are mutual', said deputy chairman of the National Independence Party of Azerbaijan.

According to him, related to the 15th Yasamal constituency, from which the Musavat party chairman Isa Gambar will be nominated, the National Independence Party will not make a single concession.

'In addition, secretary of the National Independence Party Elshan Mustafayev to fight until the end will be nominated from this constituency', Orujlu said.
