Araz Azimov
Now it is trying to shift the blame on Baku through various speculations, said Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov.
'Armenia, apparently, wants to divert the world attention from the main issue on which no progress is observed at the negotiations. And we know the reason very well', A. Azimov told journalists.
According to him, the reason for this lies in the fact that the Armenian president has rejected the OSCE Minsk Group proposals to resolve the conflict, and now Armenia is trying all sorts of speculation to slander against Azerbaijan.
The deputy minister, commenting on the recent visit of President Dmitriy Medvedev in Baku, praised the level of the Azerbaijani-Russian relations, which, according to Azimov, must line up in a new way. The diplomat said that the outcomes of this visit will be reviewed and new steps will be taken in this connection. 'We would like to see the categorical Russia in ensuring the territorial integrity and resolving the conflict within this framework', said the deputy minister.
Azimov voiced hope that further negotiations on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will serve the interests of Azerbaijan.
