Iran has resumed gas pump to Turkey on Sunday morning after it was halted for 11 days.

The pause came as an explosion in a part of the pipeline that lies in Turkish territory.

The Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Company Mohammad Javad Owji said last Saturday that Iran was likely to resume gas pump to Turkey by next 10 days.

Examinations showed that Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) was behind the vandalism.

Iran and Turkey signed an agreement in 1996, based on which Iran would send 228 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey in 23 years.

Iran initially started gas pump with 3 billion cubic meters each year and the two sides agreed to boost the amount to 10 billion cubic meters annually.

Iran began gas export officially early 2001.
