Aydin Mirzazade
'The current leaders of Armenia who have seized powers on the wave of Karabakh today do not see any way of development and cannot properly assess the current reality', said deputy of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Aydin Mirzazade, commenting on the statement of the Armenian President that the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict can have only one solution and that solution is the international recognition of its independence.
According to the deputy, the leadership of Armenia still thinks in terms of 1988, although it is well aware that the problem of Nagorno Karabakh will not resolved on the basis of their statements.
'Today it is Azerbaijan’s turn to propose an initiative, a factor that can solve this problem is the power and position of Azerbaijan. Against this background, Armenians want to show that they also supposedly have strength.
In fact, Azerbaijan is not interested in Armenia’s position. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved on the basis of the territorial integrity of our country, and Azerbaijan is doing everything possible for the purpose', he said.
Asked about Turkey's position in resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the deputy stressed the changelessness of Turkey’s position in supporting Azerbaijan.
