Ruben Mehrabyan

'Meeting should be evaluated as a message to Yerevan.'

Armenian Expert at the Armenian Center for Political and International Studies, Ruben Mehrabyan stated that the planned meeting of Turkish, Azerbaijani and Iranian Foreign Ministers in Igdir, is a message to Yerevan that Armenia is not wanted in the region.

“The signal should be disturbing to Russia. The latter has a negative attitude to Turkish-Iranian cooperation, which, she believes, is progressing at the expense of Russia’s interests,” Mehrabyan said according to the report of PanArmenian.net.

Stating that Iran will benefit from the meeting, Mehrabyan said that the meeting should be evaluated as a message to Yerevan that Armenia is not wanted in the region and to the West that Turkey and Azerbaijan’s interests should be respected.
