Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR exported 1.039 million tonnes of diesel fuel in January to August this year, 112,644 tonnes more than in 2009.
Diesel exports in August were 157,581 tonnes, according to figures from SOCAR.
SOCAR's monthly export figures in 2010 are 151,978 tonnes in January, 121,130 tonnes in February, 177,499 tonnes in March, 130,189 tonnes in April, 115,729 tonnes in May, 100,950 tonnes in June, 138,522 tonnes in July and 157,581 tonnes in August.
In 2009 SOCAR exported 1,435,000 tonnes of diesel fuel, 29,000 tonnes more than in 2008.
Diesel is traditionally one of SOCAR's major oil products exports.
