'The peoples of Caucasus are linked with long friendly relations, are visit is held within the Russian delegation, the development of ties with Azerbaijan is playing a great role in the development of ties with Azerbaijan', Dagestani President Magomedsalam Magomedov told reporters Thursday.
He said one of the main elements of old ties are spiritual contacts, as well as the great contribution of head of the Caucasus Muslims Department Allahshukur Pashazade to the development and deepening of ties between the peoples of Dagestan and Azerbaijan.
He also noted that the talks on raising economic cooperation and implementation of a number of projects in agriculture, tourism and hydropower engineering will be held within the framework of the visit.
In turn, Ingushetian President Yunusbek Yevkurov said the aim of the visit is development of issues of the agreement on interregional cooperation.
