Political analyst Fikret Sadikhov said that the countries co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Group have become guardians of Armenia.
Political analyst has commented on the consideration of the draft resolution on the occupied territories of Azerbaijan in the UN General Assembly in the nearest future.
'A huge number of resolutions of international organizations, including the UN have been passed in Azerbaijan’s favor. This is an obvious reality that the world community should take into account', said political scientist Fikret Sadikhov.
According to the analyst, now there are the resolutions of the UN Security Council, the European Parliament, the OIC and several other organizations. Moreover, there is also a statement of the leading countries of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs about the support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
'A resolution similar to the one passed in 2008 in our favor is now being raised in the UN General Assembly again. But, unfortunately, such a discussion is like a litmus paper' the analyst said.
F.Sadikhov noted that the countries co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Group have become guardians of Armenia.
'How long can we discuss issues in the format of OSCE Minsk Group, which has become a guardian of Armenia in open? They hamper the solution to this problem and, despite the recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, are actually doing everything to keep this issue in limbo, and even if they would have dared, they would never affect Armenia’s image.
The leading powers continue to take account of the whims and ambitions of the Armenians, thereforethe conflict cannot find its solution so far', he said.
