The report says that compared to 2008 the volume of bore mud emission into the sea has dropped by 5%.

8,950 tons of bore mud have been released into the sea during drilling works within the framework of the development of Azeri-Chirag-Gunesli and Shah Deniz fields in 2009.

The report says that compared to 2008 the volume of bore mud emission into the sea has dropped by 5%. This is connected with the decrease in the volume of drilling works on the Central Azeri platform and the fact that the Dede Gorgud sailing drilling facility was at company’s disposal only for half a year in 2009.

The bore mud released during drilling works in Chirag field made up 890 tons, within the drilling program on Azeri 3,892 tons, within the framework of deepwater Guneshli 0 tons, from the Dede Gorgud drilling facility 1,821 tons and from Istiglal 2,347 tons.
