A song and accompanying video clip have been produced about Azerbaijani National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov.
MP Ganira Pashayeva and singer Tunzala Agayeva have written the song to honour Mubariz Ibrahimov and others who have died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Warrant Officer Ibrahimov, posthumously declared a National Hero, killed several Armenian soldiers in a clash in June on the contact line separating Armenian and Azerbaijani forces. His body remained on the Armenian side of the line and has yet to be returned to Azerbaijan.
The song's lyrics were written by Ganira Pashayeva and the music by Tunzala Agayeva. Agayeva and TRT Avaz anchorwoman Cuneyt Cakova perform the song.
The clip will be broadcast on TV and radio from 2 September.
Its creators believe that the song will strengthen patriotic sentiments among the younger generation.
The clip is also to be broadcast by Turkish television channels.
The song was written for a film about Mubariz Ibrahimov called "The Holy Peak".
Production of the film started at Ganira Pashayeva’s initiative a month ago. It should be shown in a few days.
Copies of the film will be distributed to military units, universities and schools and sent to Azerbaijanis abroad.
