The figures were provided by the national registrar of domains, www.whois.az.
The vast majority of domains - 9,162 - operating in Azerbaijan and registered by www.whois.az have an address ending .az.
The most popular domain name remains com.az with 534 domains. It is followed by edu.az with 88 domain names, org.az (75 names) net.az (63) and int.az (53).
"Last month, the number of domains pp.az, co.az, and biz.az more than doubled to 49, 19 and 7 respectively," the registrar said.
The number of domains info.az is almost unchanged at 20.
There is just one domain each ending mil.az, pro.az, bilesuvar.az, gence.az, sumgait.az, zaqatala.az, imishli.az and shusha.az.
It costs AZN 20 to register a domain in Azerbaijan and the same to maintain it every year.
Over 2,000 .az domains are registered every year.
