Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will visit Qatar early next week, Tehran’s ambassador to Doha announced.

Ambassador Abdollah Sohrabi told the Mehr News Agency that economic ties, talks over developments in the Middle East particularly in the Persian Gulf region, and flood in Pakistan will feature most in Ahmadinejad’s negotiations with senior Qatari officials.

Sohrabi added that the Iranian president will attend an iftar (fast-breaking ceremony) to be hosted by the Qatari emir.
