Leader urges Muslims worldwide to rush to aid Pakistanis.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a statement on Tuesday urging Muslims all over the world to give aid to the flood-stricken people of Pakistan.

“In this critical situation, based on Islamic brotherhood, we must act to our duty and rush to the help of the grief-stricken brothers and sisters” in Pakistan, the Leader stated in his message.

“The scale of damages is so great that in addition to urgent need for food, cloth and shelter by millions of our brothers and sisters, a large part of infrastructure in Pakistan has been destroyed,” the Leader explained.

The Leader adds what Islamic governments and international organizations must pay more attention to is to help the Pakistan government how to counter the short-term and long-term effects of the devastating floods.

The Leader also said while the Muslim people of Pakistan are facing with such a calamity the “occupying and invading forces” of the US are frequently launching attacks on the “territory of this Islamic country under false pretexts”.
