Shahriyar Mammadyarov eighth, Teymur Rajabov 13th in FIDE rating

According to the new rating list of the International Chess Federation, Shahriyar Mammadyarov is still the strongest grandmaster of Azerbaijan.

However, he is not the sixth but the eighth with 2756- by 5 points lower compared to July.

Teymur Rajabov’s positions have worsened. He went down from the 10th position to the 13th. The rating remains changeless – 2748. The indicators of Vugar Hashimov and Rauf Mammadov remained changeless. Vugar is 26th with 2719 points and Rauf is 80th with 2660 points.

Norwegian Magnus Carlsen is first again with 2826 points. The second is Bulgarian Veselin Topalov (2803 points), the third is Indian Vishvanatan Anand (2800). Shahriyar Mammadyarov outstrips Levon Aronyan (Armenia), Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Pavel Elyanov (Ukraine) and Alexander Grishuk (Russia).

In the team rating Azerbaijan lowered from the 9th to 11th place. Our country has 2630 points (the average indicator of the best ten chess players). Russia is first with 2729 points, Ukraine is second with 2695 points), France is third with 2653.
