According to the news service for the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, under the bilateral plan of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, Azerbaijani servicemen will study at the Military Academy of airspace defense in Yaroslavl (Russia), Mikhaylovsk Military and Artillery Academy in Saint Petersburg (Russia), Institute of Tank Engineers in Omsk (Russia) from September 2010 until September 2014.
The Military Academy is training qualified military specialists to manage and maintain anti-missile complexes including S-300 Favorit which Russia intends to supply to Azerbaijan according to unconfirmed but not yet dismissed report.
Under the bilateral plan of cooperation Azerbaijan-Turkey, Azerbaijani servicemen will study at the High Military School of land forces (Ankara), in 2010-2016- in Military-Medical Academy Gulkhana (Ankara), High Military Aviation School (Ankara), Marine Lyceum (Istanbul), Air Force Lyceum Ishiglar (Istanbul).
Representatives of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces will join NATO exercises in September, press service of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan said.
According to the programs signed with NATO, Azerbaijani servicemen will participate in Combined Endeavor 2010 in Grafenwoehr, Germany on Septmeber 3-16, Rapid Trident 2010 command staff and field trainings in Lviv, Ukraine on September 5-17, Medceur 2010 in Podgoritsa, Montenegro on September 8-22.
Representatives of the Defense Ministry will visit MSPO 2010 international defense exhibition in Kielce, Poland on September 6-9.
