Azerbaijani film receives international award

The festival involved cinematographers from 56 countries.

Azerbaijani short feature film of young and talented film director Fariz Ahmadov 'One step' was awarded in the nomination 'Professional film' at the 8t Int’l noncommercial festival of alternative cinematographer held in Ukrainian Irpen on August 28-29.

Film director and producer of the film Fariz Ahmadov currently studies for master’s degree of the all-Russian state institute of cinematography, at the workshop of famous Russian film director, popular artist of USSR, author of the popular film 'The cold summer of 1953' by Alexander Proshkin.

Along with this film, Fariz Ahmadov is also the author of the documentary “Rhythms of Lagich” which was also awarded at int’l festivals. He has twice been the laureate of the Azerbaijani national film contest “Bu meydan, bu ekran”.

The script of the film is by Nargiz Bagirzade and Alina Abdullayeva, producers are Fariz Ahmadov and Rashad Gasimov, art figure of the picture is Jamil Guliyev. The film involves actors Gulzar Gurbanova, Parviz Mammadrzayev and Narmina Kerimova.
