Azerbaijan sends humanitarian aid to Pakistan

Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan has sent humanitarian aid to Pakistan for to show aid to the victims of floods and heavy rains.

IL-76 aircraft with humanitarian aid has sent to Pakistan from the International Airport named after Heydar Aliyev.

Head of the Department of Material-Technical Supply of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Rafik Muradov told reporters that according to the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, 43 tons of humanitarian aid worth 221 thousand manat has sent to Pakistan. 'The aid is mainly food, medicines, blankets, generators, folding beds and so on', - he said.

In particular, among the goods: 3 thousand blankets, 10 generators, 500 rubber boots, 5 tons of flour, 3 tons of sugar, 500 kg of pasta, 5 tons of flour, 10 tons of drinking water, 500 kg of vegetable oil and medicines valued at 21 thousand manat.

Muradov said that if the situation in Pakistan goes on like this, the Azerbaijani government will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to that country. According to official if Pakistan need rescuers Azerbaijan can send its rescuers to Pakistan.

Recall that yesterday the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan sent plane with humanitarian aid to Pakistan.
