A group of students of the State Montana University was visiting Azerbaijani regions on August 15-23.
The visit was conducted within the project of Summer school of famous journalist Thomas Holtz on the issue 'New Silk Way'. Collin Danil, awarded by Heydar Aliyev’s premium by Azerbaijan’s consulate general was also among them.
Within the framework of the project the students visited the National Park Gobustan and Fire worshippers temple in Surakhany and also familiarized with the Sangachal terminal and met SOCAR leadership.
SOCAR vice president Elshad Nasirov made a report on Azerbaijan’s energy policy during the meeting.
The students met rector of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Hafiz Pashayev on August 18. Then the teachers of the academy Taleh Ziyadov and Elnur Sultanov read lectures on 'Azerbaijan’s energy policy and working transport corridors'.
During the visit the participants held a meeting in the Foreign Ministry where they were welcomed by FM Elmar Mammadyarov. Deputy FM Araz Azimov informed the students about the Karabakh conflict.
The summer school project participants also visited Guba where they met with Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyngulu Baguirov. The meeting participants discussed issues of environment and its protection.
