Azerbaijan to attend regional session on information in Moscow

The 24th session of the commission on Regional Communication Commonwealth on Information will be held in Moscow on August 17-18.

Official RCC website reports that during the session there is a plan to view issues related to implementation of resolutions of charter and working bodies of CIS and RCC on issues of further cooperation in the ICT field, as well as national programs and projects of ICT development aimed at building information community.

During the session the sides will consider draft changes and alterations to the strategy of cooperation of the CIS member-states in information and plan of actions on its implementation for period until 2015. These documents  considering remarks and proposals of the commission members will be presented at the next session of the coordination council of the CIS member-states on information under RCC (September 28 in Kishinev).

The commission members will familiarize with the experience of preparation and implementation of the project of creating the Cyrillic domain *рф- a new instrument ensuring national identity of the Russian-language audience in the world. During the session the sides will consider a number of urgent issues related to development of ICT in Commonwealth countries.

At the session Azerbaijan will be represented by chief of department of development of information community of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies Rufat Gulmammadov.
