Azeri, Slovene presidents attend business forum

Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Danilo Turk of Slovenia attended the Azerbaijan-Slovenia business forum in Baku today.

The forum brought together 70 businessmen from Slovenia and 90 from Azerbaijan.

Addressing the forum, President Aliyev said that his Slovenian counterpart's visit to Azerbaijan will kick-start the expansion of ties between the two countries in all fields, including the economy. He said that the high-level political ties between the countries provide opportunities for the development of economic relations.

President Turk thanked his Azerbaijani counterpart for his hospitality. He said that Slovenia has achieved considerable success in developing information and communication technology and alternative energy sources and is ready to share its experience with Azerbaijan.

Following his visit to the business forum, Danilo Turk completed his official visit to Azerbaijan.

He and his wife were seen off at the airport by Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and other officials.
