OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs

The OSCE’s Minsk Group co-chairs will visit the South Caucasus again.

The mediators from the United States (Robert Bratke), France (Bernard Fassier) and Russia (Yuri Merzlakov) due in late November will visit the region of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, according to sources at US co-chairman’s office.

The mediators will prepare the next bilateral meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia planned by the end of November. The agreement was attained during the recent visit of the diplomats to the region on November 4-6.

In Baku and Yerevan both presidents reiterated readiness to continue discussions to attain further progress on the way to an agreement on the main principles of the peace settlement of the Karabakh conflict, says the statement of the OSCE’s Minsk Group co-chairs by results of their visit to the region, posted on the website of the organization. “They agreed on the proposal of the co-chairs to arrange the next bilateral meeting (sixth this year) by the end of November. The date and venue of the meeting are to be coordinated”, the statement reads.
