In the main, the expense part of the 2010 budget will be oriented in three directions: social, investment and defense, Parliamentarian Oqtay Asadov said.
“The causes of the world economic crisis have been analyzed during the development of the budget for the next year. Therefore, the expenses are designed so that if financing of one of the directions fails, it will lead to the failure of balance between all the three directions of budget means spending”, said Asadov during discussions of the country’s state budget for 2010.
Under the 2010 package of the state budget, the budget revenues for the next year are predicted to be AZN 10,015,000,000 and expenses AZN 11,264,000,000.
According to the parliament speaker, the budget reflects the country’s macroeconomic development.
“Thus, despite the world financial crisis, Azerbaijan’s economy continues developing and GDP topped 6% by results of nine months of this year while the monetary reserves of the country topped USD 19 bn”, Asadov concluded.
