An international forum on intercultural dialogue will be held in Baku in April 2011.
The statement came from Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Sevda Mammadaliyev speaking at the international scientific conference of "Dialogue of cultures in conditions of globalization".
She said the forum will be organized by the Azerbaijani leadership in cooperation with UNESCO, ISESCO and Council of Europe.
"The dialogue between cultures and civilizations is among main directions of the policy of Azerbaijan which occupies an important geopolitical and geostrategic place. Mutual understanding is possible only n the result of a dialogue between different cultures", Mammadaliyeva said.
