Azercell Telecom covers 57.6% of mobile communication market of Azerbaijan.
Ulviya Hasanzade, chief of department of corporate communication and social responsibility of the company, told a news conference Friday that by the end of the last year the operator’s network covered 80% of the country and 3.8 subscribers.
'177 radio bases (base stations) were installed last year, their number has reached 1700. For the first time Azercell installed a station working on solar and wind energy at a height of 1910 meters on Shahdag. There is a plan to install wind generators soon', she said.
According to Hasanzade, in 2009 Azercell has presented the last generation BlackBerry Solution. A telephone center has been opened to improve services for subscribers in Ganja. Currently, the Azercell subscribers have 2 call centers working round-the-clock. 23 offices of Azercell Ekspres are functioning in different regions of the country.
