Ilham Aliyev
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Singapore`s foreign minister George Yong-Boon Yeo.
The Head of State said Azerbaijan and Singapore had mutual interest and good potential to develop bilateral relationship. The President noted the Singaporean foreign minister`s visit creates good opportunity to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation.
He expressed assurance that the visit would contribute to developing relations between the two countries. George Yong-Boon Yeo, in turn, said he was the first Singaporean minister to visit Azerbaijan, and expressed his satisfaction with this fact.
He also handed over Singapore President Sellapan Ramanathan`s official letter to President Ilham Aliyev inviting him to pay a visit to Singapore.
