The leading operator of Azerbaijan's mobile communication-Azercell Telecom-has declared the results of 2009.
President of Azercell Telecom Ali Agan told a news conference by results of the year that 2009 was successful for the company.
"Azercell Telecom has again proved its leadership in the nonoil sector of Azerbaijan", Agan said.
According to chief of department for corporate ties and social responsibility Ulviya Hasanzade, Azercell is the biggest taxpayer of Azerbaijan's nonoil sector. In 2009 it transferred $150.7 mln to the budget of the country.
"This amount has made up $753.6 mln throughout 13 years. On the whole, in 2009 the share of Azercell's transfers to the country's budget made up 2.7%", Hasanzade said.
