Good result for Azerbaijani grandmaster

Vugar Hashimov remains in seventh place in the Amber Chess Tournament after beating top Russian grandmaster Alexander Grischuk in the fifth round.

Hashimov and Grischuk drew their blindfold game, while Hashimov won the rapid game.

After five rounds Vugar Hashimov lies in seventh place with five points.

In the sixth round he will play Armenian Levon Aronyan, who lies in 10th place.

Ukraine's Vasily Ivanchuk is in the lead at the Amber Chess Tournament in Nice with 7.5 points.
