Safura Alizade

Safura Alizade will sing the ballad Drip Drop at the Eurovision song contest in Oslo.

The head of Azerbaijan's Eurovision delegation, Adil Karimli, announced the choice to Public Television today. He said that Drip Drop had been chosen out of three songs.

Drip Drop was written by Stefan Örn and Sandra Bjurman.

Safura was chosen to represent Azerbaijan on 2 March. The list of contestants had already been whittled down to three - Safura Alizade, Maryam Shabanova and the group Milk&Kisses. The contestants sang the same songs written for Eurovision by foreign composers - Drip Drop, Under My Skin and Soulless.
