Inter, Lenkoran reach Cup semis

The semi-finalists in Azerbaijan's Football Cup have been decided following the second legs of the quarter-finals yesterday.

In the Baku derby, Inter beat Neftchi 2:1 to go through 5:1 on aggregate. Inter's goals were scored by Asif Mammadov and Girts Karlsons, while Adrian Njaga got Neftchi's consolation goal from the penalty spot.

Khazar-Lenkoran beat Karabakh 1:0 at  home, which was enough to see them through to the semis  on the away goals rule, after they lost 2:1 away to Karabakh in the first leg. Brazilian Cristian Cabral scored the only goal of the game in the 17th minute. Karabakh had two players sent off - Elnur Allahverdiyev and Rashad Sadikhov.

The first leg of the semi-final will be played on 27 April when Olympic Shuvelan will host Khazar-Lenkoran, while Baki will host Inter. The second leg will be played on 5 May and the final on 22 May.
