Delayed appointment of ambassador not to spoil bilateral cooperation, Terry Davidson said.
The delay with the appointment of the new US ambassador is connected just with the internal processes, Terry Davidson, chief of department for public relations of the embassy, has said.
Davidson noted: "Some sources spread wrong information about the delayed appointment of the new ambassador. This is not like that. Time is needed to check the resumes of the candidates for position of the ambassador".
Davidson said the activity of the US embassy is not limited with the ambassadors and over 80 Americans are currently working at the embassy.
The diplomat also noted that the United States maintains successful cooperation with Azerbaijan in the sphere of security, energy, democracy and other fields. The delayed appointment of the ambassador cannot spoil the bilateral cooperation.
