According to sources in the State Statistical Committee, in January of this year the communication sector provided services in the amount of AZN 148.6 mln which is a 27.9% growth over 2009.
"Population was the main consumer of services - 76.6%. The highest revenues were received from mobile communication - 73.8%, which is a 33% growth over last year", the statement reads.
The volume of sales in communication sector of Azerbaijan made AZN 1 bn in 2009.
