Azerbaijan has banned the mass media interference with the personal life of the citizens.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has confirmed the amendments introduced by the parliament to a number of laws and prohibiting the mass media representatives to trace persons take their pictures, videos or hold audio records without their permission.

"The Cabinet of Ministers will have to prepare and present to the presidential administration the proposals on introduction of changes and alterations to the country's law, resulting from the amendments on the laws "On mass media", "On freedom of information", "On operative search", "On reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance activity" and "On receipt of information", the text of I.Aliyev's decree published in official press on Wednesday says.

Under the amendments, except for cases of operative search, no one can be traced by mass media, or taken photo, video or made audio records without his permission.
