In 2009 the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Italy made $3.91 bn.
The trade turnover between the two countries has decreased by $15.49 bn.
According to sources in the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan, export of production to Italy made $3.788 bn. In this period the import of goods from Italy made just $127.725 mln. The positive balance made up $3.66 bn. This is the highest indicator among all countries with whom Azerbaijan has trade relations. This is explained by the fact that a greater part of oil exported by Azerbaijan is purchased by Italy.
