Short film on Azerbaijan to be shown in Washington

A short documentary on Nakhchivan's unique water supply system will be shown on 22 March at the United Nations Association Travelling Film Festival.

The nine-minute film Nakhchivan's Last Kankan was shot and directed in 2009 by Chaim Litewski. The kankan is a special water pipe.

The film will be shown at 6.30 on 22 March at Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Two other films on water shortages – Battle for the Xingu and American Outrage –  will also be screened at the showing.
