The Turkmen national musical and drama named Mahtumkuli is full again.
It is always like this when musical Arshin mal alan is staged. This is the world famous musical comedy by classic of the Azerbaijani art of music Uzeir Hajibeyov. The national color of the Azerbaijani people was skillfully featured by the directors and actors - Kuvvat Chariyev (playing the role of Arshin mal alan), honored artist of Turkmenistan Nura Hudaykuliyeva (Ester) and popular artist of Turkmenistan Ovezquli Gelenov (Sultanbek).
According to director Aynazar Batirov, he has developed the idea to stage "Arshin mal alan" since the university years.
"On the one hand, this is our contribution to strengthening of friendly and cultural Turkmen-Azerbaijan ties and on the other hand we tried to make a present to the audience. Therefore, when working at this play, we were trying to show a peculiar approach to its solution. And we dared to make a musical taking the advantage of music and songs in the play. Choreography plays a great role in this issue".
The play involves 16 professional dancers. According to popular artist of Turkmenistan, the dances were arranged not just for dances: "Rhythmic, plastic of movements help show the nature of every hero. And it is a great pleasure to dance by the wonderful music of Hajibeyov".
