Local production will prevail in the grain fund this year.
Azerbaijan's Emergency Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov noted that the farmers dealing with agriculture have been sent instructions on the type of the required grain.
According to the minister, the fund will receive only high quality grain.
"Currently, reserves are held for creation of gain stocks. The annual grain stocks in the country must be 260,000 tons and there are already 115,000 tons of grain on the reserves hired by the ministry. The reserve grain fund should not contain low quality grain.
Works are held to reduce import and raise the quality of local production. We consider that more local production will be purchased for the reserve grain fund", Heydarov said.
