Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammedyarov met German delegation led by Bundestag deputy, head of German delegation in Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and head of the German delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Western European Union Yoaxim Horster.
According the press service of MFA, during the meeting the parties noted the high level of relationships between Azerbaijan and Germany and stressed the availability to develop the relations in deferent fields, particularly economic ones.
The parties also mulled over the regional issues. Talking about the processes occurring in the Southern Caucasus, E. Mammedyarov informed the head of the German delegation about Azerbaijan’s position to the solution process of Armenian – Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and underlined the necessity to solve this conflict as soon as possibly for restoration the peace and stability in the region.
In turn, Bundestag deputy pinned his hopes on the soonest solution of Armenian – Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and stressed the necessity of increasing the efforts of the international community.
The parties had also exchange of views on the issues like the relations between Azerbaijan and Council of Europe, Azerbaijan and NATO, etc.
