Local authorities should provide assistance to entrepreneurs, and should not interfere in their affairs, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

"Relevant institutions must suspend baseless checks, as there is no need for this, Azerbaijan has undertaken major work in the field of economic reforms and we have achieved transparency," - said Aliyev at the conference on the first year of implementation of the "State program of social and economic development of regions in 2009-2013".

The head of state stressed that "transparency is very important for the economic development of the country".

"We have different places where the system of a single window is applied. This is a very important issue for simplification of the work of entrepreneurs and prevention of frivolous claims. In this case, unwarranted interference  and checking have no basis and should be averted", said I. Aliyev.

However, the President noted that "entrepreneurs must fulfill their duty before the state, people,  pay taxes in time, and it would be better if the entrepreneurs were actively engaged  in social initiatives," said the president.

The president also noted that all projects planned for 2010, will be implemented, and we will note have financial problems in this area.
