Head of the Hajilar municipality Memduh Bodur was killed near his house on March 11.
Memduh Bodur, member of the Party of National Solidarity, was killed in the most crowded place of the city.
The criminal fired five bullets in his head. Though Bodur was immediately brought to hospital, the doctors could do nothing to help.
The shooter was detained. The investigation is underway to learn the motives of the murder. According to Turkish mass medias, the arrested was dismissed by Bodur two weeks ago.
This has been the second murder of the municipality leaders in Turkey of the past week. Mayor of Esenchay and member of the ruling Party of Justice and Development Ilhan Arduch was killed in the result of the armed attack in Turkish Amasiya on March 10.
