Polish Premier visits Armenia

Donald Tusk: Armenia is an important player in the South Caucasus.

The Armenian-Polish agreement on economic cooperation will  promote the development of small and middle business, Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan told a joint news conference with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk.

He said during the meeting participants reached an agreement on creation of a joint intergovernmental commission.

In turn, Donald Tusk noted that Armenia and Poland have a potential for development of cooperation in different spheres, in particular, energy and chemical industry. Moreover, Poland may need Armenian experience in nuclear energy. He noted that Armenia is an important player in the South Caucasus and it became one of the reasons of the initiation of the EU Eastern Partnership program by Poland.
