The Simbrella Group established in Azerbaijan recently is preparing a project on creation of the base of code of IMEI mobile phones in the country.
According to sources in Azerbaijan's Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, the duty of the company will be the registration of IMEI codes of the equipment supplied to Azerbaijan.
"The equipment without IMEI code will be banned for sale in the future. The project has been ratified by the Cabinet of Ministers and there came an instruction to prepare a plan to organize the grounds for the project implementation. After the legal base of registration comes to power, the device will be connected to the software", the statement reads.
