Week of Azerbaijani film to be held

The week of Azerbaijani films will be held in the country on April 6-10, according to sources in the Cinematographers Union.

The week will be opened by the first night of the feature film of director Samir Kerimoglu Niyyat at Heydar Aliyev's Palace. The film festival will be held in ten cities of the country including Baku, Ganja, Sabirabad, Devechi, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, Khirdalan and Goychay.

Also three films of the festival will be demonstrated in Sumgayit and at the State University of Culture and Art. Feature films made in the past five years will be demonstrated in a number of military units, as well as the male and female jails.

The meetings with young directors-winners of the Republican contest "Bu meydan-Bu ekran" are envisioned within the framework of the festival. There is a plan to hold first nights of the national animation films in Shagan settlement.

The 90th jubilee of the famous Azerbaijani actress Leyli Badirbeyli will also be held within the framework of the festival.
