Saakashvili, Tusk
Donald Tusk is head of the most successful government in Europe, - President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili stated on the press conference held after meeting with Polish PM Donald Tusk.
'Poland is the only country in Europe with positive increase in economics last year. We’ll try to catch up with Poland in rates of economic growth,' Mikheil Saakashvili stated.
President says that it was the government of Poland initiated East Partnership program, joined by Georgia.
'In the frameworks of this organization, it is simplified for citizens of Georgia to take visas to Europe. We hope to receive free trade regime with EU under Poland’s chairpersonship, what will be significant advance for Georgia,' Mikheil Saakashvili said.
He assesses that signing associate membership agreement with EU will be advance for Georgia. Saakashvili thanked President of Poland Lech Kaczynski and government for support.
He awarded Prime Minister of Poland with Georgian football team T-shirt as 'Georgian team member' from the standpoint of politics.
