Baku-Tumen trains detained in Dagestan

Two passengers carriages have been detained on their way due to the explosion of the cargo carriage in Makhachkala on Thursday night.

The information was provided by sources in the Russian Railway Company, according to ITAR-TASS.

These are 373 Baku-Tumen and 374 Tumen-Baku carriages. All passengers of the carriages will be provided with water and hot food", the source in the company said.

He noted that 14 cargo carriages were derailed in the result of a blast on the railroad at Makhachkala-Port-Tarki cross at 21.18. Operative search is currently underway.

"The restoration works will start after getting the due agreement of the law-enforcement bodies", said sources in the company. 4 repair  and construction carriages and specialists are brought to the spot.

According to sources in the railway station, carriage 373 left from the Baku station at 17.00. It was to arrive in Tumen at 1.56 on March 15.
