"Those who made this decision and who voted in favor of the resolution were not historians."

Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Thursday that the resolution on Armenian allegations which was approved by Swedish Parliament did not have any credibility.

Replying to questions on the resolution on Armenian allegations regarding 1915 incidents approved by Swedish parliament, Gul said, "all we know how such decisions are made. It does not have any credibility for us."

Those who made this decision and who voted in favor of the resolution were not historians, he said.

Swedish Parliament on Thursday approved a resolution on Armenian allegations regarding 1915 incidents.

The resolution including recognition of Armenian allegations was approved with 131 votes against 130.

Turkey strongly rejects the genocide allegations and regards the events as civil strife in wartime which claimed lives of many Turks and Armenians.
