Azerbaijani wrestlers to compete in Belarus

The international contest in wrestling in honor of Olympic champion Alexander Medvedev will start in Minsk on March 12.

The news service for Azerbaijan’s Wrestling Federation told News.Az that our country will be represented by a female team. Marziget Bagomedova (48 kg), Regina Yarova (51 kg), Yuliya Ratkevich (59 kg), Oleza Zamula (63 kg), Guzel Zutova (63 kg), Nadja Sementsova (67 kg), Zumrud Gurbanhajiyeva (67 kg) and Dina Ivanova (72 kg) will compete under supervision of head coach Orest Skobelski.

The junior contest – Medvejonok-will also be held along with this contest. It will involve Aydan Safarli (46 kg), Kamala Aliyeva (49) and Patimat Bagomedova (52 kg) to compete under supervision of Arif Farmanov.
